WiFi is a technology that allows WiFi users (laptop/smartphone/tablet) to connect to the Internet via wireless networking.

Celcom First WiFi is a wireless Internet access offered by Celcom to all existing Celcom Postpaid or Prepaid customers and non existing Celcom customers at selected public places such as shopping malls, transportation hubs, Hotel, Food & Beverages or Cafes.

No, Prepaid customers will only be charged one time for each selection (Daily/Weekly/Monthly)

Step 1: Go to any Celcom First WiFi location. (Go to  http://www.celcom.com.my/personal/plans/wifi/coverage-areas  and select WiFi Location to find WiFi location)
Step 2: Turn on/enable Wireless Network Connection
Step 3: Select 'CelcomWifi' SSID, Open Web browser (IE,Mozilla,Safari)
Please make sure customers get at least Good WiFi signal (minimum 4 bar for Notebook/Netbook , 1 bar for Smartphone/Tablet/Ipad)
Step 4: Key in WiFi ID & Password, Click 'Submit'
Step 5: Successfully connected to Internet 

  1. Not within Celcom First WiFi location
    Advise customer to go to nearest WiFi location
  2. Wireless Network Connection is turn off/disable
    Turn on/enable Wireless Network Connection
  3. Select different SSID
    Select 'CelcomWifi' SSID (min Please make sure customers get at least GooD WiFi signal (minimum 4 bar for Notebook/Netbook , 1 bar for Smartphone/Tablet/Ipad)
  4. Within Celcom First WiFi location but no 'CelcomWifi' SSID detected
    Suspected WiFi access point problem. Proceed to create case.
  5. WiFi IP problem
    Advise customer to check Wireless IP setting. By default the configuration should be 'Obtain IP Automatically'
  1. Low signal bar
    Customers should get at least Good WiFi signal (minimum 4 bar for Notebook/Netbook , 1 bar for Smartphone/Tablet/Ipad)
  2. WiFi IP problem
    Advise customer to check Wireless IP setting. By default the configuration should be 'Obtain IP Automatically'

The validity of the WiFi ID is up to 3 month

The validity of your WiFi password remains as long as your profile is active. To check your WiFi password, please send ‘WIFI PASSWORD’ to 22188.

Customer can terminate the WiFi session either by click 'Logout' button at the small pop-up menu or type ap.logout/ at the web address bar.

Idle timeout is a session termination for every 30 minutes per user if there no Internet connection detected. Ie: WiFi users didn't do any web surfing/downloading/streaming

No, Celcom First WiFi does not multiple sessions. Please click 'Logout' button or type ap.logout/ at the web address bar to terminate your WiFi connection.

You can change your password via 2 methods:
 
1. Online via Landing Page (under Celcom WiFi connection)
    Step 1:  On the landing page, click ‘Manage Your Account’
    Step 2:  Key in your existing Username and Password. Click
                 Login.
    Step 3:  Click ‘Change Password’
    Step 4:  Key in your old password, new password and retype 
                 password. Click ‘Change My Password’
 
2. SMS
    Type WIFI RESETPW <6 characters> and send to 22188.
 
* Note: If you want to change your password to more than 6 characters, please change it via online in Manage My Account.
 
There are a few ways you may consider,
Option 1: Just Purchase any Internet Plans that comes with FREE WIFI and you will                               receive a SMS stating your Username and Password.
Option 2: If you are using Celcom Frenz, all you need to do is reload RM10 and get                                 FREE WiFi. An SMS will be sent to you with the Username and Password
                           once the reload is successful.   
Customer can retrieve the session browser or log in into my account by typing https://firstwifi.celcom.com.my/detector at the web browser address.

Your internet speed will be throttled  until you reach the validity. Upon reaching the validity, your internet will be blocked and require to purchase a new Celcom WiFi plan. 
Your internet access will be blocked immediately and any remaining WiFi data volume will be voided.
No, if you are using the same device as before, Celcom WiFi will automatically connect and authenticate you as long as your plan is still active.
If you changed to another device, you will need to key in your WiFi ID and Password again through the landing page (one time only).
There are a few ways to disconnect to Celcom WiFi,
Option 1: Just move away out of Celcom WiFi coverage (The connection will fully                                  disconnect  after 30 minutes)
Option 2: Turn off WiFi function on your device (The connection will fully disconnect after                      30 minutes)
Option 3: To logout from Celcom WiFi immediately, click logout at session windows                               then  turn off your WiFi.
