WiFi is a technology that allows WiFi users (laptop/smartphone/tablet) to connect to the Internet via wireless networking.

Celcom First WiFi is a wireless Internet access offered by Celcom to all existing Celcom Postpaid or Prepaid customers and non existing Celcom customers at selected public places such as shopping malls, transportation hubs, Hotel, Food & Beverages or Cafes.

Step 2: Select 'WIFI DAILY' or 'WIFI WEEKLY'and 'YES'.
Step 3: You'll received your WiFi ID (Mobile Number) and Password.
Additional charge of RM2 one time for Day or RM8 one time for Weekly packages will be charged to your monthly bill.

How can I subscribe to Celcom First WiFi Monthly package?
Step 1: SMS 'ON WIFI' sent to 22188
Step 2: Select 'WIFI MONTHLY' and 'YES'.
You'll received your WiFi ID (Mobile Number) and Password. Additional charges will be charged to your monthly bill.

No, the charges won't be pro-rated. 

How can I subscribe to Celcom First WiFi Day/Week/Month packages?
Step 1: SMS 'ON WIFI' sent to 22188
Step 2: Select 'WIFI DAILY','WIFI WEEKLY' or 'WIFI MONTHLY' and 'YES'.
You'll received your WiFi ID (Mobile Number) and Password. It will deduct directly from your mobile credit.

No, Prepaid customers will only be charged one time for each selection (Daily/Weekly/Monthly)

Step 1: SMS 'WIFI FUP' send to 22188
Step 2: Select which volume packages to purchase
Prepaid customer will be deducted from the prepaid credit. While, Postpaid customers be charged to the monthly bill.

Step 1: Go to any Celcom First WiFi location. (Go to  http://www.celcom.com.my/personal/plans/wifi/coverage-areas  and select WiFi Location to find WiFi location)
Step 2: Turn on/enable Wireless Network Connection
Step 3: Select 'CelcomWifi' SSID, Open Web browser (IE,Mozilla,Safari)
Please make sure customers get at least Good WiFi signal (minimum 4 bar for Notebook/Netbook , 1 bar for Smartphone/Tablet/Ipad)
Step 4: Key in WiFi ID & Password, Click 'Submit'
Step 5: Successfully connected to Internet 

  1. Not within Celcom First WiFi location
    Advise customer to go to nearest WiFi location
  2. Wireless Network Connection is turn off/disable
    Turn on/enable Wireless Network Connection
  3. Select different SSID
    Select 'CelcomWifi' SSID (min Please make sure customers get at least GooD WiFi signal (minimum 4 bar for Notebook/Netbook , 1 bar for Smartphone/Tablet/Ipad)
  4. Within Celcom First WiFi location but no 'CelcomWifi' SSID detected
    Suspected WiFi access point problem. Proceed to create case.
  5. WiFi IP problem
    Advise customer to check Wireless IP setting. By default the configuration should be 'Obtain IP Automatically'
  1. Low signal bar
    Customers should get at least Good WiFi signal (minimum 4 bar for Notebook/Netbook , 1 bar for Smartphone/Tablet/Ipad)
  2. WiFi IP problem
    Advise customer to check Wireless IP setting. By default the configuration should be 'Obtain IP Automatically'

The validity of the WiFi ID is up to 3 month

The validity of the WiFi password is one time. Ie: Customer will be given new password if the WiFi package is expired.

Customer can terminate the WiFi session either by click 'Logout' button at the small pop-up menu or type ap.logout/ at the web address bar.

Idle timeout is a session termination for every 30 minutes per user if there no Internet connection detected. Ie: WiFi users didn't do any web surfing/downloading/streaming

No, Celcom First WiFi does not multiple sessions. Please click 'Logout' button or type ap.logout/ at the web address bar to terminate your WiFi connection.

You can change your password via 2 methods:
 
1. Online;
Step 1: Go to any Celcom First WiFi location.
(Go to https://www.celcom.com.my/personal/plans/wifi/coverage-areas and select WiFi Location to find WiFi location)
Step 2: Turn on/enable Wireless Network Connection
Step 3: Select 'CelcomWifi' SSID, Open Web browser (IE,Mozilla,Safari)
Step 4: Click 'Manage My Account'
Step 5: Key in WiFi ID & Password, click 'Submit'
Step 6: To change, click 'Change Password‘ and key in your existing WiFi Password followed by your new password.
 
2. SMS:
Step 1: Type ‘WIFI RESETPW’ and send to 22188
Step 2:  Type ‘WIFI RESETPW<Space><NEW PASSWORD> and send it back to 22188. Please note that you need to key in not more or less than 6 characters only.
 
Note: If you want to change your password to more than 6 characters, please change it via online in Manage My Account. Please note that our Celcom Customer Service personnel are not allowed to reset and change a customer’s password.
