Celcom System Upgrade
What is the activity about?
Celcom Axiata Berhad, in its ongoing commitment to provide an awesome customer experience, will be upgrading its billing system.
What is the purpose and benefit to the customer?
The upgrade activity will enable Celcom to consolidate its multiple billing systems into a single converged system. This enables Celcom to provide real-time charges, credit control services as well as to provide a new experience for customers in managing their subscriptions.
When will the system upgrade?
The upgrade is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 20 May 2018, from 8.00am up to Monday, 21 May 2018, 6.00am.
Who will be affected?
The upgrading activity may affect all postpaid & prepaid customers who were registered before 29 January 2018 and did not perform any change of bill plans after 29 January 2018, EXCLUDING customers who registered under GB Share Plan and Celcom Business Plans (Business S/M/L).
What are the impact that customers will experience during the billing migration process? (Nationwide & Roamers)
Sunday, 20 May 2018, 8.00am – Monday, 21 May 2018, 6.00am
Below are the services which will be temporary unavailable:
- Bill payment
- Online Customer Service, Celcom Business Portal, Celcom Online Store and Mobile Apps
- Change of bill plan
- SIM card replacement
- Value Added Services subscription
- Prepaid new line activation can only be done via Celcom dealers’ channels
Monday, 21 May 2018, 4.00am – 8.00am
Celcom Postpaid customers will not be able to:
- Receive in-coming calls and SMS for a maximum of 15 minutes within the 2 hours upgrading, from 4.00am – 6.00am (Nationwide)
- Receive in-coming calls and SMS for 4 hours between 4.00am to 8.00am (Roamers - Malaysia Time)
Can I register for new number or port in to Celcom during the upgrade?
New postpaid line registration and Mobile Number Portability (MNP) will be available, however all requests will only be processed on 21 May 2018, 6.00am onwards.
