Q1. What is Personal Accident Coverage by MAA Takaful?
A1. It is a joint program between MAA Takaful Bhd and Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd to offer Personal Accident (PA) Coverage for Celcom Postpaid customers. The Personal Accident Coverage is a 24 hours protection against accidental death or bodily injury caused solely by violent, external & visible means.

Q2. What are the benefits of Personal Accident Coverage by MAA Takaful?
A2. The benefits and coverage include Accidental Death, Permanent Disablement and Funeral Benefit (due to accidental death). Click here to download your Insurance Certificate.

Q3. How much is the Premium?
A3. Customer will be charged at RM12 per annum.

Q4. How much does the policy cover?
A4. RM38,000 for death and permanent disablement, plus RM2,000 for funeral expenses.

Q5. How will customers be notified of this program?
A5.
Celcom will send SMS broadcast to the selected customers who are eligible for this programme.
To register, customers just need to reply the SMS by typing PA ON and send to 28881.

Q6. Who is eligible to take up this programme?
A6. All selected Celcom Postpaid mass customers who are Principle Account holder, exclude Supplementary Plan (i.e. 1+5 Plan) and Data Stand Alone Bill Plan.

Q7. How can I be eligible for Personal Accident Coverage by MAA Takaful?
A7.
You must be a Celcom customer.
You must remain an active customer at all times i.e. the Celcom line and/or account must not suspended, disconnected and or terminated by Celcom and/for whatever reasons.
You must be a Malaysian Citizen or if you are Permanent Resident or other nationality the coverage only apply whilst you are in Malaysia only.

A16. All claims will be handled directly by MAA Takaful.

Q17. How long does it take for a claim to be processed?
A17. Claims are processed within 14 days upon submission of full documentation (Checklist) to MAA Takaful Berhad. To avoid delays, all claims must be submitted directly to MAA Takaful Berhad.

A18. You can check your status by calling MAA Takaful Berhad at Call Centre at 1-300-88-8622.

Q19. When should I notify MAA Takaful Berhad after an accident has occurred?
A19. All claims must be notified by way of a letter to MAA Takaful Berhad within 14 days of the accident.

Q20. Who will be entitled to my claim in the event of my demise?
A20. The claim will be payable to your next of kin in accordance to the Faraid Shariah Law for muslims and Distribution Act (Revised 1997) for non-muslims.

A21. Please share the benefits and contact information with your next of kin after you have activated your Personal Accident Coverage by MAA Takaful.

Q22. Can I appeal the decision on my claim?
A22. Yes, you can appeal on the decision of your claim by first to MAA Takaful Berhad to review the claim decision. However if you are not satisfied with the decision by MAA Takaful Berhad, you can then appeal to the Financial Mediation Bureau (FMB) or Biro Pengantaraan Kewangan.
